Abstract:
PURPOSE:To change a conversion rule during operation to always perform optimum hashing by replacing stored data in accordance with the report of check results obtained by applying another rule in case of unbalance of data among groups in a hash table. CONSTITUTION:A hash table checking part 3 periodically checks whether data in a hash table 1 are uniformly stored in groups or not. When unbalance is detected, another conversion rules are applied on trial, and a better conversion rule is reported to a hashing optimizing part 4 when it is found. When receiving this report, a suppressing means 5 of the optimizing part 4 temporarily suppress the access operation of a data register and retrieving part 2 to the table 1. Said reported conversion rule is applied to reconstitute data, which are stored in accordance with the current conversion rule, in the table 1 by a reconstituting means 6. After this operation, the operation of the register and retrieving part 2 is restarted by a restart means 7.
