PURPOSE: To take an X-ray picture without distorting the joint position of jaws by fixing the head of a person to receive medical check by inserting the ear pieces of ear rods hung from the upper part at the left and right sides of the person to check in his ears.

CONSTITUTION: After the head of a person 13 to receive the medical check is fixed on a table 9, an X-ray generator 1 and a film cassette holder 2 are moved and rotated around the face of the person 13 drawing an oval path to take a pantomorphic X-ray picture. When the X-ray picture is taken from the side of the joint position of jaws of the person 13, a head rod is displaced with an ear rod 44, and the ear rod 44 is installed to a joint plate 41. And the ear rods 44 at the left side and the right side are slided by a lever to insert the ear pieces of the ear rods 44 in the ears of the person 13. Then, the X-ray generator 1 and the film cassette holder 2 are moved and rotated to photograph only the joint position of jaws.
