To provide a head mounted display capable of specifying positions of a plurality of invisible identification codes and displaying various kinds of contents associated with an arbitrary identification code therefrom.

In the head mounted display including a display means in which image light corresponding to image information and external light are both incident on a user's eye to display an image corresponding to the image information superimposed on an exterior scene, the head mounted display includes: an image pickup means for picking up an image of a user's field of view range; a code detection means capable of detecting the invisible identification codes existing in the image pickup area of the image pickup means; and a display control means performing the control to read association information corresponding to the identification code detected from a storage means storing the association information associated with the identification code and to display it in association with the identification code on a display means. The display control means performs the control to display marker information indicating the positions of the identification codes at display positions of the display means corresponding to the positions of the identification codes detected by the code detection means.
