PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-up display device that prevents a driver from visually recognizing a boundary generated due to a difference between black luminance of a display area and black luminance of a background.SOLUTION: A head-up display device includes: a light source part 11; a liquid crystal display element 12 that has a first face facing the light source part 11 and a second face on the opposite side of the first face, and controls the transmittance of light from the light source part 11 to display an image on a display member; and a sheet 13 that is provided on the first face or the second face of the liquid crystal display element 12, has a central area 13a and a peripheral area 13b on the periphery of the central area 13a, and has a pattern in which a light-shielding function increases toward the outside in the peripheral area 13b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
