Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a process for extracting the whole body of carp which is familiar to Japanese from ancient time and believed to have medicinal effect and utilizing the obtained oily liquid extract as foods or drinks.
CONSTITUTION: The whole body of carp (round body) is extracted with an aqueous solution containing ethyl alcohol. A desired amount of the obtained oily extract containing a component useful for health is mixed to a food or drink or an intermediate for the food or drink (e.g. biscuit or biscuit dough in the case of preparing biscuit) to obtain the health food or drink containing the oily liquid extract of the whole body of carp.
