PURPOSE: To provide a heat exchanger having a structure in which a flow of heat exchanging fluid is not hindered by a method wherein at least one end of a thermal transmitting pipe is formed into a shape corresponding to an inner side shape of a cross-sectional one of a header.
CONSTITUTION: Since a header 21 has a circular cross section, and end part of a thermal transmitting pipe 1 is machined in an arc form corresponding to its inner shape. The thermal transmitting pipe 1 is inserted into an insertion hole 211 arranged in the header 21. The thermal transmitting pipe 1, header 21 and fins 3 are integrally connected to each other by brazing. Since the thermal transmitting pipe 1 is connected along the inner surface shape of the header 21, it does not prohibit the flow of the heat exchanging fluid. As a result, a resistance in a flow passage is not increased and thus it is possible to prevent a reduction in an amount of feeding flow into the thermal transmitting pipe 1 or a disadvantage of non-uniform distribution or the like.
