PURPOSE: To improve cooling capacity of heat exchanger casting by inserting a metal-made cooling pipe forming coating layer composed of the specific wt% of aluminum nitride and alumina and inorganic refractory material as internal chill into a base material.
CONSTITUTION: By inserting the metal-made cooling pipe forming the coating layer composed of 20 - 60wt% one or more kinds selected from the aluminum nitride and alumina and the balance inorganic refractory having ≤1,300°C m.p. on the outer surface as internal chill into the base material, the heat exchanger is constituted. By this method, melt-welding of the internally chilled cooling pipe and the cast base material and carburizing of the cooling pipe are prevented and at the same time, the heat exchanger casting having excellent heat conductivity of the cooling pipe can be manufactured.
