Title:
HEAT EXHANGER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3018213
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To utilize discharged water and cool a high-temperature side of a Peltier element by bringing the forward end of a drain into contact with a reticulate moisture-absorbing material and connecting the reticulate moisture- absorbing material to the high-temperature side of the Peltier element via a liquid transferring material.
CONSTITUTION: A forward end of a drain 93 is brought into contact with a reticulate moisture-absorbing material 94, which is connected to a high- temperature side 92 of a Peltier element via a liquid transferring material 95. Accordingly, dew produced on a low-temperature side 91 of the Peltier element wets the reticulate moisture-absorbing material 94 through the drain 93, and this wetted reticulate moisture-absorbing material 94 functions as a trap to prevent the external air from entering a casing 1 through the drain 93. Further, moisture wetting the reticulate moisture-absorbing material 94 is transferred to the high-temperature side 92 of the Peltier element by the liquid transferring material 95, vaporizes while cooling the high-temperature side 92 of the Peltier element, and is discharged outside a heat exchanger 2 together with cooling gas B. By this method, the cooling on the high-temperature side of a Peltier type dehumidifier can be promoted effectively.
