To provide a heat insulation structure of an instrument panel for a vehicle enhancing heat insulation effect of a duct by preventing biting-in of a heat insulation layer.
In the heat insulation structure of an instrument panel body 1 of a double structure, the duct 5 is formed between an outer panel 2 and an inner panel 3. The heat insulation structure is constituted such that when the outer panel 2 and the inner panel 3 are joined to both side edges of the heat insulation layer 6 comprising an elastic material provided on a back surface of the outer panel 2 in the duct 5, an approximately wedge-like press-fitting part 6a compressed by an inner side surface of the duct 5 is formed. Thereby, when the inner panel 3 is mounted to a back surface of the outer panel 2 by vibration welding or the like, even if dimensional dispersion by a molding error exists in the outer panel 2, the inner panel 3 and the heat insulation layer 6, since the press-fitting part 6a is not bitten-in between the outer panel 2 and the inner panel 3, mounting strength of the inner panel 3 to the outer panel 2 is sufficiently obtained.
