Title:
HEAT RESISTANT BURNER DIFFUSER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2609053
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To eliminate a crack even if a temperature of a diffuser cone is varied in the case of stopping or starting an operation by forming the cone of a heat resistant ceramic body of a hollow structure.
CONSTITUTION: A diffuser cone is formed of silicon nitride ceramics containing silicon carbide whiskers. The whiskers 8 are dispersed in parallel with a surface of the cone in random directions. The cone is annular, and a crack easily occurs. Accordingly, the cone is divided into a plurality of element pieces 1-l, which are annularly connected in a circumferential direction to be preferably used. Thus, the crack scarcely occurs. Since the ceramics have low thermal conductivity, even if its surface is quenched to be thermally shrunk, its interior is not immediately thermally shrunk. Thus, the crack easily occurs on its surface, but it is formed in a hollow structure, and hence the crack scarcely occurs.
