Abstract:
To uniformly heat both ends in a width direction of a recording material.SOLUTION: A heating device comprises: a first rotating body; a second rotating body that forms a nip part with the first rotating body; a heater 18 that has heat generation parts 181 long in a rotation axis direction of the second rotating body and provided in an internal space of the first rotating body; and a support member 19 that holds the heater 18 and is in contact with an inner peripheral surface of the first rotating body to guide the rotation of the first rotating body, and the heating device heats a recording material at the nip part. The heater 18 has positioning parts 18c that are located closer to the center of the heat generation parts 181 with respect to the ends in a longitudinal direction of the heat generation parts 181. The support member 19 has parts to be positioned 19c that are in contact with the positioning parts 18c to regulate a relative movement in the longitudinal direction of the positioning parts 18c with respect to the support member 19, and supports the heater 18 so that both ends in the longitudinal direction of the heater 18 have gaps with respect to the support member 19.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
