To provide a low-cost hermetic compressor with high efficiency and high reliability that enables one component thereof to reduce sliding loss of a thrust part and to improve wear resistance of the thrust part.
Three or more protrusions 123 are formed on a thrust washer 121, and the areas of contact surfaces 124 with a flange 112 which are formed on the protrusions 123 are formed so as to increase with the distance from the axial center outward. The contact surfaces 124 between the flange 112 and the thrust washer 121 thereby are only the protrusions 123, and the sliding area is reduced. The increase of the contact area with a thrust surface 122 on the protrusions 123 causes lubricity of a sliding surface to be maintained even if a sliding speed is increased. In addition, the thrust washer is one component, therefore providing the low-cost hermetic compressor with high efficiency and high reliability.
