Abstract:
To obtain the subject polypeptide being products from ortholog and functionally homologous types and useful for the treatment and diagnostic assay, etc., of decreases in the bone density including osteoporosis, HIV-related cachexia and other immune insufficiency, inappetite, overating and other diseases.
This polypeptide is HFIZG 53 polypeptide having an amino acid sequence at least 80% identical with the amino acid sequence of the formula and can be obtained according to a arbitrary suitable method (recombinat production, etc.). The polynucotide encoding HTXFT 19 polypeptide is obtained, according to EST analyis, from the cDNA library derived from mRNA in bone marrow cell systems (RS 4; 11), Soares multiple sclerosis 2 NbHMSP cells, etc.
