Abstract:
To provide a high frequency amplifier that has a variable gain function, excellent linearity and a simple configuration.
In this amplifier, a variable attenuator consisting of a bypass FET 18 in which the drain is connected to the gate of an amplifier FET 14 in a 1st stage via a resistor 23 and a source is connected to ground via a capacitor 21 is arranged to a main signal line led to the gate of the amplifier FET 14. The gate potential of the bypass FET 18 is controlled by a gain control voltage source 20 so as to change the gain of the high frequency amplifier.
