Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce spurious electromagnetic coupling with devices inside and outside a housing of a communication equipment where circuit elements or the like of a transmission/reception circuit are mounted.
SOLUTION: A periodic structure 6 is attached to at least a part of housing walls of housing frames 1, 4 (4-1, 4-2), 5 and the housing frame including this periodic structure 6 is designed so as to act like a filter whose cut-off frequency band covers a frequency band including frequencies of a spurious radiation radio wave in question in the housing. The housing is structure to locally confine the radiation energy from a spurious radiation source so as to prevent interference on the other devices. Having only to add the simple periodic structure as above to the part of the housing locally confines the radiation energy of the spurious radiation radio wave in the housing to prevent the interference on other devices and to reduce the adverse effect of EMC(electromagnetic compliance) and EMI(electromagnetic interference) on the other devices. The tolerance for mass-production and changes over aging in the performance can be decreased and the manufacture cost is reduced without deteriorating a receiver of the communication equipment.
