To provide a high-frequency power unit for a dual system high-fre quency induction furnace which can freely control the output of an inverter with an inexpensive means.
A high-frequency power unit for a dual system high-frequency induction furnace is constituted by providing two systems of high-frequency power units 3 and 9 for an induction furnace, one system of capacitors 15 and 16 for matching and adjusting frequency, and a switching function 17 which connects the capacitors 15 and 16 to arbitrary one of the power units 3 and 9 or by providing two systems of high-frequency power units 3 and 9, matching capacitors 4 and 5 respectively connected to the power units 3 and 9, and a switching function which respectively connects the capacitors 4 and 5 to the power units 3 and 9 by switching against the same DC power source 2 in an induction furnace which melts a metallic material and performs prescribed treatment of the molten material to the same DC power unit 2.
