Title:
HIGH-MODULUS AND LOW SHRINKAGE POLYESTER FIBER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1060737
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To obtain a polyester fiber excellent in elastic modulus and dimensional stability to heat, also high in productivity.
This high-modulus and low-shrinkage polyester fiber is made from a polyester composition virtually composed of a polyester A with ethylene terephthalate unit as the main constituent unit and a copolyester B composed of ethylene terephthalate unit and arylate unit which accounts for 10-60mol% of the total constituent units. In this case, the ratio of copolyester B to the polyester A is 0.2-5wt.%. This polyester fiber is ≥150g/de in initial elastic modulus and ≤4% in dry heat shrinkage at 180°C.
