PURPOSE: To provide the title painting method eliminating a process used in order to obtain appearance having high painting quality on a car or an electric product without using org. solvent.

CONSTITUTION: A painting method is constituted of a stage applying cation electrodeposition painting to an object to be painted, a stage applying the undercoating of water-soluble resin paint to the region subjected to the cation electrodeposition painting of the object to be painted to blow off said paint and subsequently applying the topcoating of water-soluble resin paint to the undercoated region, and a stage applying clear painting to the region subjected to topcoating to bake the clear painting layer.
