Abstract:
PURPOSE:To attenuate a scattered component and detect only information light buried in scattered light, and to obtain a tomographic image with high resolution by inputting the diffracted image of 0th order in a Fraunhofer diffracted image at the projection end of a photodetecting element and cutting components of high order. CONSTITUTION:The photodetecting element which has plural divided areas where light is propagated is provided and a space area where interference between different points at the projection end of the photodetecting element is caused is limited to smaller than the minimum TEM spatial resolution unit to detect the information light buried in the scattered light. At the time of, for example, the circular pinhole 1a of a slit, the Fraunhofer diffracted image is observed at a sufficient distance. This consists of plural dark rings and a bright area between the dark rings and an area A in the 1st dark ring, i.e. the part of a spectrum of 0th order is the bright area. Here, the slit 1 having a pinhole diameter equal to the width of the spectrum of 0th order is arranged to detect only the spectrum of 0th order and remove spectra of higher order. Consequently, only the information light can be separated from the scattered light and scattered light and detected.
