PURPOSE: To make a cutting device incorporable in a high-speed strip manufacturing line as an inline system, by rotating a reel, with a built-in cutter controlling the run of an electromagnet, pairing with a roll, and constituting it so as to cut a strip.
CONSTITUTION: Each of reel K1WK3 being built in so as to make a cutter X retractable with operation of an electromagnet 22 is installed in a carousel reel KR. And, these reels K1WK3 attract a strip S with gas pressure or the like, first winding up it with the reel K1, and when winding a fixed quantity of it, the carousel cell reel KR rotates whereby the reel K2 comes to the winding position and attracts the strip. Next, the K2 reel projects comes to the winding position and attracts the strip. Next, the K2 reel projects a cutter X out, cutting the strip with the help of a cutting auxiliary roller (unillustrated herein). Thus, winding operation of the K1 reel is all over. This constitution takes place as to each of these reels K1WK3 in order. With this constitution, this cutting device is inlineable in a high-speed strip manufacturing line.
