To provide a high speed motor capable of shortening the axis length of a rotor so as to enable improving risk speed with increasing axis stiffness of the rotor and also capable of improving stability of a rotating axis.
The high speed motor comprises a rotor axis 34 having a rotor part 31 forming a rotatable rotor, non-rotatable stator parts 26 oppositely placed in the radial direction with determined spaces to the rotor part 31 to form a stator 25, magnetic bearings 36, 36' supporting the rotor axis 34 rotatably with determined spaces across the rotor part 31 and at least two displacement sensors 40 detecting displacement of the rotor axis 34. The sensors 40 are mounted between magnetic bearing stators or insides of the magnetic bearing stators.
