To solve a problem that the insulation of stator windings and the windings themselves are damaged by agitation flow that is generated by the rotating rotor and stator in the immersed state in a coolant in a high-speed rotating electric machine.
A can having roughly the same inside diameter as that of a rotor core is arranged between the stator windings and the rotor, and in this can, a plurality of coolant-sending openings are provided. It is structured in such a way that coolant is not jetted to the stator windings directly by directing the coolant that flows in a gap between the stator and the rotor into the can, and by sending out the coolant from the coolant-sending openings to the stator side using the speed of the agitation flow that is generated inside the can.
