Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high strength coated member having consistency interface and prolonged in service life to a greater extent by applying a film, having high toughness, high hardness characteristic, and resistance to wear, oxidation, thermal shock, breaking, and deposition in a wide region from low temp. region to high temp. region, and a film having peeling resistance.
SOLUTION: This member is a coated member formed by coating a base material with a hard film consisting of a monolayer or myltilayer of one or more kinds among titanium- and aluminum-containing compound nitrides, compound carbonitrides, compound nitrogen oxides, and compound carbonitroxides. Moreover, coating is performed so that the interface between the base material and the hard film keeps a heteroeptaxial relationship.
