Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high voltage operational amplifier which consists of a low voltage device and has low saturation output. SOLUTION: A high voltage operational amplifier receives a low voltage input signal at a mutual conductance stage 3 of low voltage which produces the differential current output. An intermediate stage 5 has the differential current input combined with the differential current output of the stage 3 and produces the voltage showing a differential input signal via a voltage buffer stage 4. Then the voltage output which has a high voltage level and a low voltage swing is produced. An interface stage 9 produces the voltage output and the current output which are combined together to receive the voltage output of the stage 5 and also to indicate the voltage output of the means 5. An output sourcing stage 6 and an output draw-in stage 7 receive the voltage output and the current output of the means 9 respectively and generate the high currents indicating the differential input signals. The high current outputs of both stages 6 and 7 are combined together, and a high voltage output signal is produced at an output terminal 8.
