Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a superior highly corrosion resistant combinedly coated steel by subjecting a steel stock to Zn type plating and further to thermal spraying with Al-base metal.
CONSTITUTION: After a Zn type plating layer 2 is applied to the surface of a steel 1, thermal spraying with Al or Al alloy is carried out while maintaining this steel at 100-400°C. By this method, the combinedly coated steel where the Zn plating layer 2 is formed on the surface of the steel 1 and further an Al or Al-alloy thermally sprayed layer (thermally sprayed grains) 3 is formed on the above layer 2 can be obtained. This coated steel has extremely superior corrosion resistance.
