Abstract:

To provide a method for purifying a minute amount of protein in a sample.

A method for purifying a minute amount of protein in a sample, the minute amount of protein forming a complex with molecular chaperones in the sample, includes steps of: (i) purifying the molecular chaperone - minute-amount protein complex from the sample by affinity purification using a single or a plurality of types of antibodies against molecular chaperone; and (ii) identifying the minute amount of protein derived from the complex purified in the step (i), by mass spectrometry.
