Abstract:
To prevent clogging of cutting chips in a chip pocket, even in a dry cut without supplying cutting oil.
In a hob cutter cutting a workpiece by a dry cut without supplying cutting oil, groove-shaped chip breakers 16 fine cutting a cutting chip are formed along a peripheral edge of a rake face 14 in a cutting blade 12, and the cutting chip scooped up by the rake face 14 at time of cutting work is fine cut by the chip breaker 16, so that the cutting chip can be easily discharged.
