Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the accuracy in the working dimensions of a workpiece by providing the working face with an adjusting means for making the axial line of the tool fitted to a tool-fitting part coincide with the axial line of the main spindle.
SOLUTION: A tool 8 is fitted to the tool-fitting part 7 of a body 6. In this condition, the axial line 7a of the tool-fitting part 7 coincides with the axial line 8a of the tool 8. Then, the centering member 16 of a holder B is fitted to the fitting part 4 of a main spindle A, and the working face 15 is abutted on the end surface 2, and the holder B is tightly connected to the main spindle A by means of a plurality of set screws 14. In the connected condition, if there is an inclination of the axial line 8a of the tool 8 to the axial line 1a of the main spindle A, the axial line 8a is made to coincide with the axial line 1a by the adjustment of an adjusting means 17. When the holder B is connected to the main spindle A, and also the axial line 8a coincides with the axial line 1a, the main spindle A is turned, and the working of a workpiece by means of the tool 8 is carried out.
