To provide a holding piece for a linear motion guiding device by which the productivity of the linear motion guiding device can be improved, and to provide the linear motion guiding device.
The holding piece 50 is used for the linear motion guiding device 10. The holding piece 50 is composed of a separator part 51, which is interposed between adjacent rollers 46 and has a pair of roller contact faces 54a, 54b consisting of recessed faces respectively oppositely contacting the outer peripheral face S of the adjacent rollers 46, and a pair of arm parts 52 which are projected toward the respective adjacent rollers 46 from the end face of the separator part 51 along the end faces of the adjacent rollers 46 and guided by guiding grooves 38a, 38b. A lubricant reservoiring part 56 opening on the roller contact faces 54a, 54b is formed. The opening part 56a of the lubricant reservoiring part 56 is made smaller than the outer shape of the arm part 52. The fitting-in of the arm part 52 to the lubricant reservoiring part 56 is prevented.
