To solve the problem that a conventional home server is present to complement or share data stored in a server via a network and to distribute the data of the server via the network but communication bands of the network are not considered, data under recording can not be distributed and a system construction becomes large-scaled.
Contents from a broadcast or communication are recorded in a first accumulation means and at the same time, converted contents are accumulated in a second accumulation means. A list of converted contents accumulated in the second accumulation means is updated as occasion demands, information about the converted contents is selected from another home server or client terminal connected to a network, and contents are selected out of a latest list of accumulated converted contents, so that the designated converted contents can be transmitted from the other home server or client terminal.
