Abstract:
To provide a microemulsion which contains polyethylene glycol and is clear, homogeneous, and easily prepared.
This homogeneous microemulsion comprises (a) 1-70 wt.% water-insoluble liquid, (b) 1-98 wt.% polyethylene glycol, (c) 0-97 wt.% water and (d) 1-20 wt.% surfactant. The microemulsion is thermodynamically stable and preferable for preparing a cosmetic composition, a bath oil or a detergent composition.
