PURPOSE: To form a curved face honeycomb material with given strength at low cost by forming integrally a honeycomb material for forming the curved face formed by compressing an overexpanded honeycomb material formed by an expansion molding means and a cell wall positioned along the ribbon direction.

CONSTITUTION: A honeycomb material 1 is composed of a section formed with an overexpansion honeycomb material 2 for forming a curved face section curing in one direction and a honeycomb material 5 formed by compressing in the ribbon direction L a cell wall 4 forming a cell 3 of the overexpansion honeycomb material 2 positioned along the ribbon direction L of a proper site in the expansion direction W of said overexpansion honeycomb material 2. As said honeycomb material 1 is provided with a curved face section curving in one direction constituting a man direction and a curved face section curving in the direction crossing square the curving direction of a curved section curving in said one direction in a proper site of said first curved face section, the material is of superior strength and quality and also extremely light in weight.
