Abstract:

To provide a honeycomb structure which achieves both thermal shock resistance and isostatic strength more appropriately, and can improve purification performance.

The honeycomb structure 1 integrally includes: partitions 2 for separating a plurality of thread unit spaces 2a from each other; and an outer peripheral wall 3 which extends in a circumferential direction θ of an extending direction S in which the plurality of unit spaces 2a extend and externally capsules the partitions. The ratio d/t, in which the outer peripheral wall thickness d of the outer peripheral wall 3 in a radial direction is divided by a partition thickness t of the partition 2 located between adjacent unit spaces 2a, is assumed to be a value of 1.3 or more.
