PURPOSE: To provide a honing device capable of sufficiently favorably discharging foreign matter such as cut chips, falling abrasive grains and others residing at the bottom part of a blind hole with cutting oil even in the case of honing a cylinder bore surface of a cylinder block having a blind hole structure.

CONSTITUTION: A honing device 1 to hone a cylinder bore surface 3a of a cylinder block 2 having a blind hole structure is furnished with a forced discharge mechanism provided with suction pipes 13a, 13b to forcibly discharge foreign matter 10 such as cut chips, falling abrasive grains and others residing on a blind hole bottom part 2c and opening and closing valves 14a, 14b.
