Title:
HOOD HINGE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2008184119
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To surely prevent the displacement to the rear side of an engine hood by compact first stopper and second stopper compared to the conventional ones.

A hood hinge 8 for pivotally mounting the rear end part of the front-opened engine hood to a vehicle body side in a tilting manner is equipped with a bracket 9 rising by mounting a lower end part to a fender apron 2 (vehicle body side), and an arm 10 which extends forward by tiltably pivoting the base end part to the inner side of the vehicle width direction of the upper end part of the bracket 9 through a pin 4 and supports the rear end part of the engine hood at the tip end part. The hood hinge is provided with a first stopper 12 at the further rearward of the center O of the pin 4 in the base end part of the arm 10 and a second stopper 14 which goes round to the rearward of the base end part of the arm 10 so as to be able to engage with the first stopper 12 when the engine hood is displaced rearward a little by the collision load from the front to the further rearward of the center O of the pin 4 in the upper end part of the bracket 9.
