PURPOSE: To obtain a hook not only having extremely strong strength of a barb, but also hardly giving damage to feed, and having resisting force to getaway from the hook.

CONSTITUTION: In a hook (A) having a barb (2) projected in the inside direction in the downward position of the tip (12) of a fishing hook body (1), the barb (2) is formed in thin-wall plate-like shape and an angle (α) made between a straight line binding a base end part (5) on the rear side of the barb (2) to the tip part (4) of the barb and the surface of the hook body (1) positioned on the side opposite to a part ranging from the rear (6) of the barb to the point (12) is set to right angle or obtuse angle.
