To prevent small articles from being dropped on a track when a passenger gets on and off a vehicle through an entrance.

A horizontal elevator-type shuttle system is provided with a vehicle 1 on which an entrance 10 is provided, a blower provided on the vehicle 1 and for forcibly feeding air, an air pad 5 provided on the vehicle 1 and for injecting air toward a track by being expanded after air is forcibly fed from the blower, a tip part 14 of a sill provided on the entrance 10, and a projecting end 15 formed into the approximately same shape as the tip part 14, positioned below the tip part 14, and provided on the track side end of a platform 12 of a station. When forcible feeding of air from the blower to the air pad 5 is stopped, the air pad 5 is deflated and the vehicle 1 is sunk, and the tip part 14 is brought into close contact with the projecting end 15 of the platform 12.
