PURPOSE: To enable air heating for a long time via the use of a flat type heater, obtain a large heating value with a small amount of power and enable the application of light-weight and compact design by constituting a heater with a heater part of a flat type heating element and a thermal insulation board.

CONSTITUTION: This heater does not use a fire, ensures safety and does not contaminate air in a room. As a flat type heating element 1 is used, it is easy to manufacture a heater of any size by changing the size of a heating element proper and the number of the elements as well as the heater can be manufactured to be considerably thin type. The heater can be hung on a wall, placed at the corner of a room and embedded, as there is an air cooling port 3 provided. From a viewpoint of health, the heater is also so constituted that far infrared radiation and ion are concurrently emitted from a diffuser to a room.
