To provide a hot blow moldability evaluation apparatus capable of measuring molding temperature, molding height, plate thickness, and strain velocity of an object to be molded without contact during blow molding with good accuracy and easily performing the evaluation of blow moldability.
The apparatus is configured to determine the strain velocity of the object to be molded by measuring the molding height of the object to be molded with a laser displacement gage, calculating the thickness of the apex of the object to be molded projected by the blow molding from the variation in the molding height of the object to be molded measured by the laser displacement gage from the upper and lower parts of the laser displacement gage, and photographing the change in a printing image drawn on the surface of the laser displacement gage by a photographic device.
