To provide a hot-line inspection appliance, which enables precise inspection and is suitable for recording inspection results, when split tings of insulators, etc., in an overhead electrical transmission distribution line are inspected.
A camera, a protective cover 8 having insulation for protecting the periphery of the camera, a body 1 having insulation performance, an angle adjuster 2 which has insulation performance and is used for attaching the camera to the body 1, in such a way as to be freely oscillatable; and a transmission means via radio which the body 1 has within and is used for transmitting picture images photographed by the camera by wireless, are provided. A hot-line inspection appliance, such as this, is attached to the tip of an insulated rod 5, and images of a spot to be inspected are taken with the camera. Images obtained are transmitted via with the radio transmission means, and are received with a receiving means on the ground. The images, received by the receiving means, can be displayed on a monitor 12 for inspection, and can be recorded and stored in a storage means of a video recorder for example.
