Title:
HOT PLUG INSERTION/PULL-OUT CONNECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04160778
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of any undesirable influence due to chattering by forming respective initial-contact surfaces of first and second terminals at the time when the first terminal is inserted into the second terminal, by electric insulator materials, respectively.

CONSTITUTION: When a pin A1 is inserted into a socket B1, a chattering occurs according to the shape, insertion angle, or the like of the pin. For electrical connection between the pin A1 and the socket B1, therefore, respective tip end portions of these two members are each constituted by an insulator material. Accordingly, such electrical connection is realized only after the insertion time succeeding to the time at which the pin A1 is completely contacted with the socket B1. For this reason, the chattering which would occur at the time of initial insertion is lessened because there exists a specified period of time between the pin A1 insertion time and the time point at which the electrical connection starts being effected. The influence of the chattering upon the electrical connection can thus be lessened.
