Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable a large amount of gaseous samples to be injected using a gas shringe in a short time and to effectively prevent the samples from being diffused toward a column by reducing the internal pressure of an analysis system to the vicinity of atmospheric pressure during injection of the gas samples.
CONSTITUTION: A carrier gas switch means 13 and a switch means 17 which discharges split gas while relatively reducing the pressure of part of the supplied split gas as compared to the internal pressure of an analysis system during analysis are provided. When gas samples are injected the carrier gas is made to flow in the direction indicated by the arrow A, whereas when the samples are to be analyzed it is made to flow in the direction indicated by the arrow B.
