Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve availability and failure resistance of a communication apparatus.SOLUTION: A communication apparatus includes a transfer control unit and a control unit. The control unit includes a first processor, a volatile memory and a nonvolatile memory. The first processor stores set information set in the transfer control unit and the control unit and log information indicating states of respective units in the volatile memory at the timing that the set information and the log information are generated, and when a failure is generated in the control unit, stores the detected failure information of the control unit in the volatile memory, stores failure information of the control unit, fitted to a first predetermined condition, in the nonvolatile memory, reads out all or parts of the set information and the log information from the volatile memory at predetermined timing, stores the read information in the nonvolatile memory, restarts the control unit, and sets the control unit by using set information stored in the nonvolatile memory at time before the set information causing the detected failure of the control unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
