To provide a technique for effectively and economically removing heavy metal such as cadmium from the waste organ of a scallop and effectively using the heavy metal or a component of the waste organ.
The waste organ is immersed in a sulfuric acid solution to leach out the heavy metal in the waste organ into the sulfuric acid solution, and the leached solution after the immersion step is loaded with a flocculant to flocculate and remove protein and lipid in the waste organ. Particularly preferably, the flocculant is composed of persimmon tannin. The immersion step using a first tank for leaching out the heavy metal and a second tank for increasing the pH of the leached solution, accurately separates and collects the heavy metal in combination with an existing technique such as an absorption method. In addition, a leaching solution suitable for electrolytic collection of the heavy metal can be also obtained.
