Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration of the transverse rigidity as much as possible while the rigidity of a wheel in the rotational direction is kept high.
SOLUTION: A free hub for bicycle is a hub to support a rim of a bicycle through spokes, and provided with a hub shall 10, a hub body 11, and spoke fitting parts 29a, 29b. The hub body 11 is a cylindrical body which is rotatably supported on the hub shaft 10. The spoke fitting parts 29a, 29b are provided with projected parts 30a, 30b which are projected in the radial direction at each end part of the hub body 11 and provided with intervals in the circumferential direction, and a pair of outer and inner through holes 31a, 32a, 31b, 32b piercing in the circumferential direction at different positions in the radial direction on the plane including the hub shaft 10 of the projected parts 30a, 30b. The through holes are made so as to lock the spokes.
