Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly safe humectant obtained from a readily available natural raw material and having a good touch in use, slight greasiness after the use and excellent persistence of moisture retention and ameliorating effects on skin roughening and to provide a skin cosmetic and a food and drink for beauty culture comprising the humectant formulated therein.
SOLUTION: The humectant comprises a second fermentation liquor obtained by subjecting a fruit mixture containing a fruit of Cucumis melo, a fruit of Fragaria chiloensis, a fruit of Vitis vinifera, a fruit of Akebia quinata, a fruit of Pyrus malus, a fruit of Ficus carica and a fruit of Musa paradisiacal to first fermentation with a yeast, then collecting the first fermentation liquor obtained by the first fermentation and subjecting the first fermentation liquor to second fermentation with a yeast as an active ingredient thereof.
