Abstract:
To prevent insufficient travel in a CD mode following a traveling plan.SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle comprising an engine and a motor and a power storage device that power-communicates with the motor executes travel assistance control in which the engine and the motor are controlled such that the vehicle travels according to a traveling plan in which a CD mode or the CS mode is assigned to each of traveling sections of a traveling route to a destination. In a case where the vehicle deviates from the traveling route in the CS mode on an express highway during execution of the travel assistance control, the CS mode is maintained.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
