Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid vehicle that enhances generating efficiency and will not suffer engine stall when the vehicle takes off. SOLUTION: The title hybrid vehicle has an internal combustion engine 10, a torque converter 12 containing a lock-up clutch L/C and a clutch for driving. The vehicle is also provided with a transmission 16 that, when the clutch for driving is engaged, transmits the revolution of the internal combustion engine 10 to driving wheels, and an electric motor 43 that is placed between the torque converter 12 and the clutch for driving and is coupled with the internal combustion engine 10, through the torque converter 12. When a non-driving mode is specified, the lock-up clutch L/C is engaged to connect the internal combustion engine 10, directly with the electric motor 43. When the specification of non-driving mode is canceled, oil pressure supplied to a hydraulic servo C-1 of the clutch for driving is reduced, until the lock-up clutch L/C is completely released.
