Abstract:

To ensure improvement of slow-going feeling from an accelerator operation to generation of a required driving force by prime mover torque, and satisfactory fuel consumption performance.

A hybrid vehicle includes an internal combustion engine 10, the first and second shift mechanisms 40, 50, the first and second clutches 61, 62, a motor/generator 20 connected to the first and second shift mechanism 40, and a starter motor 13 for starting the internal combustion engine 10, and an electronic controller 100 includes an output waiting estimation time computing means for estimating an output waiting estimation time until engine torque is transmitted to driving wheels WL, WR after receiving a start-up request for the internal combustion engine 10, when the internal combustion engine 10 is assumed to be started up by the motor/generator 20, and a starter setting means for setting a starter motor 13 as a starter for the internal combustion engine 10, when the output waiting estimation time is longer than a prescribed time, and for setting the motor/generator 20 as the starter for the internal combustion engine 10, when the output waiting estimation time is the prescribed time or less.
