To provide a method for adjusting performance of a hydraulic turbine for hydroelectric power generation capable of simplifying and miniaturizing a structure, and reducing errors of an actual characteristic curve from a target characteristic curve.
A runner 26 and a stationary guide vane 29 positioned at an upstream side of the runner 26 are provided in a casing 23. The casing 23 is detachably and attachably provided with an adjusting liner 43 adjusting characteristics of the hydraulic turbine. A plurality of kinds of adjusting liners 43 having difference rush-in quantity B rushing into a channel 32 between the stationary guide vane 29 and the runner 26 from an inner circumference surface of the casing 23 are prepared. Width of the channel between the stationary guide vane 29 and the runner 26 is changed to adjust flow in quantity of water to the runner 26 by replacing and attaching the adjusting liner 43 to the casing 23. Consequently, the actual characteristic curve is made close to the target characteristic curve, and error of the actual characteristic curve to the target characteristic curve is reduced.
